Your Childs First Visit
It is crucial for your child to have a positive dental experience during their initial visit to our clinic. This will help them feel comfortable in the dental environment and make future visits easier. We will carefully listen to your concerns and conduct a comprehensive assessment of your child’s oral health during this first visit. In addition, we will acclimatise your child to our clinic surroundings. Once the examination is complete, we will create a treatment plan that is tailored to your child’s unique needs. We will also guide you through the decision-making process, providing ample opportunities for you to ask questions.

Most Common Child Treatments
Fissure Sealant
The fissures and uneven surfaces found on the molars are a haven for remnants of food and bacteria, leading to dental decay if left unchecked. However, fissure sealants can be applied to these nooks and crannies as a barrier against decay. This process is straightforward and painless, involving cleaning the tooth and applying a sealant material in the fissures, then hardening it with a blue light. Whilst these sealants are durable, occasional replacements or touch-ups may be necessary to ensure their continued effectiveness.
Dental Extractions
While our dentists make every effort to save teeth, certain situations may require tooth removal, such as creating space for orthodontic treatment or addressing severe decay. When this is necessary, our expert team provides careful and gentle treatment to ensure minimal stress and discomfort for your child. We take great care to minimise pain and ensure a smooth and painless procedure.
General Anaesthetic
For patients who cannot remain still during treatment or who have conditions that make treatment intolerable, general anaesthesia may be an option. However, prior to considering this treatment option, we will discuss your suitability and require you to complete a medical questionnaire for assessment.
Dental Hygiene
Professional teeth cleaning services are offered by hygienists through a process known as scaling and polishing. During the appointment, an initial dental hygiene examination is conducted by the hygienist. The examination is followed by scaling of teeth to remove plaque or tartar buildup in areas that cannot be reached by brushing. Subsequently, a clean and polish is performed to remove superficial stains from teeth.
